The day we meet again in Heaven will look like this🐾❤️
Today marks two years since we lost our sweet JT to lymphoma.
We've lost three dogs (Roxee, Bo, JT) to cancer and all were ugly endings. Coping with the loss and grief is hard, sometimes lonely, and painful. But pain eventually turns into memories.
I'd like to share how I worked through, and continue to work through, my own pet loss grief. Maybe one of these ideas could help others grieving the loss of their pet💔
*Allow yourself grace and time. It's okay to cry...a lot.
*Pray. Sit in silence.
*Talk with a counselor, friend, family, clergy.
*Journal, write down memories.
*Paint or draw your pet, commission an artist.
*Create a calendar with pet's pictures.
*Wind chimes, memorial garden, a special plant, garden flag w/ pet's picture, pet etched in a stone.
*Pets grieve, too. They miss their buddy.
*A tattoo of your pet.
*Memorialize your pet with their pictures, collar/tags, paw print, eternal candle, their favorite toy.
*Pet shelter- volunteer or donate.
If you've lost a pet, I'd be grateful if you would share what has helped you. Let's help each other ❤️
